Description: HG3498 This listing is for One 6906, the exact pistol in the photos. FFLs and Law Enforcement Agencies, however, may take any number of extras at the same per-pistol price and with no additional shipping charges. It was not until 1983 that Smith & Wesson began paying serious attention to demand for compact autos. The Company's first response was this specimen's immediate ancestor, the Model 469, popularly known simply as the Mini. The 669 in lightweight stainless followed in 1985, and the 6900 series began in 1988. Here is one of the first 6906 specimens in that model’s best classic form. It was manufactured in 1990, according to its TDS serial number prefix. This weapon served and protected our fellow citizens in California with the California Department of Corrections during the previous two decades. Note the neatly executed laser CDC Prefix identification numbers on the right side of the slide, barrel and frame. It has the second type rounded serrated trigger guard. Note also the pinned-in ambidextrous safety, and Novak style anodized three-dot sights. Hammer is factory bobbed black anodized smooth top; and trigger is first type .365 black anodized smooth combat. Frame, of course, is specially coated lightweight alloy, and the pistol weighs only 26.5 ounces empty. Curved backstrap one-piece grip matches the anodized sights and high impact magazine finger-rest type floorplate; and note the black follower that only admits 12 round magazine capacity. Magazines are pre-ban configuration, but most of them are marked restricted, manufactured by special order for CDC during or after 1994. These are dimensionally compact pistols but they have double-stacked magazine wells; that is, they will operate with even the huge 20 round magazines that S&W marketed for its 5900. This 6906 will readily accept any 59 or 5900 magazine. This fine little pistol's distinctive barrel configuration made it so accurate that Smith & Wesson retooled its full size pistols' barrels as well. Barrel, of course, is 3 1/2 inch stainless, and its muzzle configuration made for positive lockup and superb accuracy for many thousands of rounds. Surface detractions are moderate, with edge buffing, faint amounts of dark toning to the frame, moderate scouring on the grip panels, and small areas of scouring on the sides from rack contact. We classify it as Very Good, since no more than 25 percent of its surfaces are affected by our estimate. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. One of the best things about this 6906 is that it has more safety features than any other currently produced pistols: firing pin safety, ambidextrous main safety, and even a magazine safety. We’re offering this fine light Smith & Wesson 6906 9mm, with its original issue magazine for only $ 369.00 Not transferable to civilians in California, the District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. For buyers in jurisdictions where 12 round non-pre-ban magazines are restricted to law enforcement, we will sub a 10 round magazine or freight paid and no magazine. Affected jurisdictions include New York, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
