These were Dutch long rifles converted into carbines for use during WWII. There are many versions of this carbine. I believe this is called a no 5 carbine. The rifle is original and untouched. The stock does show some very obvious shrapnel damage. We have not disassembled or tried to see what is underneath the wood. May still have some bits of metal under there? Certainly an interesting conversation piece. Non import marked. Likely a bring back or pre 68 import. The stock although showing some wartime damage feels solid. The wood appears unsanded adn the cartouch is stamped crisply. The metal has aging patina. The numbers at the bolt body and receiver are matching. The bolt head is forced matched as well. The bore shows strong rifling with some shine to it. There is either corrosion or old dirt/grim down the bore. We have not attempted to clean or alter anything. As with any military surplus firearm we recommend it be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to use. We accept credit cards with a 3% service fee. Many more photos available. Just send us an email! Layaway is available with a $20 fee and a nonrefundable deposit of 25%. Layaway to be paid off within 60 days.
