It came from the West Sacramento Police Department and has "W.S.P.D. 17" stamped on the receiver. It will chamber both 2.75" & 3" magnum rounds and it holds up to 4 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. The barrel bore is bright with no pitting and the action is in excellent shape. Also, it comes with a 'Scattergun Technology' adjustable sling. This is a battle gun built for self defense and reliability. It won't fail you when you really need it. I'm a factory certified Remington 870 armorer and I went through this gun completely, so I know it is mechanically sound with plenty of life left. What's nice about police trade-in's is that the department armorers conduct regular maintenance and take good care of the guns. This one was carried a lot, but used little and is in excellent shape. In researching the serial number, this gun was manufactured in the mid-1980's. There are no plastic or MIM parts used in this gun (unlike the Express model).
