I have for sale a 1963 vintage 5 shot Ithaca 37 riot gun, 20" bbl., parkerized, bead sight, wood furniture. No duck hunter scenes engraved either side of the receiver. Serial number is 860XXX. Barrel does not have a choke mark, but it is a cylinder bore, as I had a gunsmith check it. Barrel is stamped with a "4". Has the old logo Ithaca plastic buttplate, gray parkerized. Finish is about 98%. There is a slightly darkened spot on the right side of the receiver in the finish; it is barely noticeable. Maybe a touch up spot. There are a few dings on the buttstock, but is to be expected for a 50 year old shotgun. Forearm is like new with no dings. And yes, it is a slamfire; it has no disconnector. The barrel has the wrong brass bead sight, but I am including 2 of the correct high skirted brass bead sights. Also comes with the hangtag that would have come with the shotgun when new, 2) 12 ga. snap caps, 5 rd. nylon elastic buttstock shell holder, sling swivels, screw for plugging sling swivel hole on underside of barrel lug, a black nylon 6 rd. shell pouch, and a new complete 12 ga. cleaning kit. This is the same shotgun as used by the LAPD, NYPD and the Navy SEALs in Vietnam. Please feel free to e-mail me with any and all questions. Additional photos available upon request. Thanks for looking.
