This one is dated 1941. It has a 24.5" barrel with a threaded muzzle, strong and bright rifling, and a "T" marked rear sight. All of the metal parts retain their original bluing except the back of the butt plate. The stock is beech wood and has numerous digs that have been filled (not uncommon); and a repair just ahead of the bolt handle (see photo). It also has a brass, type 2 stock disc, 2nd variation embedded in the stock. The serial number is 610540. The front sight post is stamped -0.5 and the front sight is stamped -03. The bolt sleeve, bolt handle, safety and cocking piece are all stamped with 540. The Model 38 cocks on the closing stroke of the bolt. This is a fine, representation of a Swedish military rifle!
