I purchase this from the CMP as a “M1 SA GRADE B RECEIVER WITH SERV GRD BARREL/BOLT, INSTALLED” also It was advertised grade B because the rifle of not having any Pitts. I also purchase a Walnut stock for it at the same time. I applied Boiled Linseed Oil (about 4 coats) and fitted and installed it on the rifle. I purchase all the parts over time as to them being less worn and best for a match for the complete rifle. CMP advertised the barrel as a new barrel and I gauge it at 0 at the muzzle. It says it a 52 on the barrel. I did a tile test and rechecked the headspace, both tests were good. It will have a very tight lock-up because of the new stock. I have not fired this rifle. I enjoy working with these and building them and was looking forward for the next one but found out that the CMP does not sell these barrel/receiver any more. What a shame.
