HISTORICAL 1903 made by Springfield Armory with SN 445727. Medal is turning to smooth brown patina, and the armory stocks made of walnut are very good, with full cartouches that are complete but somewhat light from wear. Bore is fair to poor, as these guns went through Hell and back! It was urgent that we re-take Burma so we didn't have to fly over the hump to supply China that tied up about one million Jap troops,in warfare.Chinese soldiers were flown into India, trained by English officers, and issued American weapons mostly 1903 rifles stored at Springfield Armory. This has several Chinese light markings on the right side of the receiver. Floor plate numbered to the gun, Barrel is HS 1944. OUR DESCRIPTIONS ARE ACCURATE. THREE DAY INSPECTION ON ALL PURCHASES.
