General Specs: Browning, Year 1986, 20 Gauge, 7lbs. 1oz., Screw-in Chokes-M/F, LOP 15 1/16", DAH 2 3/8", DAC 1 1/2"

While John Browning's genius created the original Browning superposed it was Mr Brownings grandson John Val who travelled to Japan in the 1960's to supervise manufacturing of the Browning Superposed. Christened the Citori it joined the Browning line of over/unders. Inheriting all the excellent attributes of the original Browning design and then adding selective improvements to aid with modern manufacturing processes. The Citori's receiver is milled from a solid block of steel and the chambers are hard chromed lined for longevity. The internal parts are all polished and hand fitted earning the Citori its reputation as a precision fit shotgun. The Citori became a worldwide success on its introduction in 1973. This example is a grade 1 engraved 20ga Citori manufactured in 1986 and serial numbered 16947PT163. It has 28” barrels featuring a mirror bore and Browning’s Invector Screw-in choke system. This shotgun is fitted with Modified and Full chokes, extra chokes can be added for even more versatility. This gun has 3” chambers and well-timed ejectors and a tight action while its gold inertia trigger gives the shooter a lightning fast second shot without having to search for a second trigger, an ideal gun when upland hunting and wearing gloves! This Citori has 99% factory bluing on the barrels and 98% remaining finish on the receiver, the engraving in crisp. The wood bears some field and handling marks and is finished with a Browning Decelerator type pad. These guns have a dedicated following amongst those in the know, a solid piece of precision engineering at a nice price, it's everything a classic over/ under Browning can be. Thanks for looking!
