Westley Richards Boxlock, 20 bore, extractor, 2 3/4" chambers, 3 1/4 tons nitro proof, 27" replacement fluid steel barrels choked .006 IC and .020 IM, 5 lbs. 13 oz., 14 1/4" LOP to checkered butt with heel and toe plates, 1 3/4" DAC, 2 7/8" DAH, 1/8" cast off for right hand shooters, double triggers, automatic safety with "Safe" in gold, straight grip, splinter fore-end with bolstering and horn inlay tip, vacant gold oval, patent Westley Richards top lever, sides of action scroll engraved with scenes of two setters on the left and two pointers on the right, bottom of action profusely scroll engraved, dolls head extension fastener, checkered side panels with drop points, highly figured stock, circa 1881. A nice old Westley that would have started with damascus barrels now with modern fluid steel barrels added in England and with modern nitro proof. Excellent condition with one of the fore-end bolstered areas looking like some epoxy fill added.
