Description: Shoppers please be advise that this pistol has some parts missing, as detailed in this essay. Slide markings, F.B. RADOM VIS Mod. 35 Pat. Nr.15567, identify this as a Grade 3 Model of 1935 Radom Pistol, manufactured in the Fabrika Broni factory in Radom, Poland, during that country’s Nazi occupation period of World War II. Frame and grip safety serial numbers match, below D0100 range. Slide number is low 65000 range, possibly a pre-War slide that the German supervisors had fitted to the frame, since the German-directed 77 markings are adjacent on slide and frame; note that the frame stamping indented that area, another sign that this pistol is one of the earlier 1941 Nazi products. German Eagle with WaA 623 is the correct proof mark on the left side, beneath the Eagle/Swastika. Note the U.S. Importer Stamp on the forward right side of the frame, PW Arms, as required by current U.S. Law. The Radom VIS 35 is, writes Mr. Whitt of ai4fr com, a self-loading, recoil operated, single action semi-automatic pistol that is chambered for the .9mm Parabellum cartridge. With some debt to John Moses Browning, it uses a Commander Style hammer that fires it from a locked breech. Front sight is integral blade, with dovetailed in fixed blade V north rear sight. It employs a grip safety much like the 1911, but is also supposed to have a decocking lever and this specimen’s decocker assembly is gone. Its firing pin is intact, but that part does not retract into its channel properly. We estimate that it needs Numrich P35 view numbers 4 Firing Pin Spring; 13 Hammer Drop Catch; and 14 Hammer Drop Catch Spring. That is $25 worth of parts; at worst, we think, another $29 would get a replacement firing pin. Note that there is no view number 35, Take Down Latch. We don’t believe this particular pistol ever had one of those parts installed to begin with. That part lists for $21, and Numrich is out of them, too. Other specs are 4.53 inch barrel with 6 grooves right hand twist; overall length of 8.31 inches and an unloaded weight of 37 ounces. This firearm does employ a slide hold open mechanism to inform the operator that the last round has been fired. This pistol originally had a blackish finish and black checkered grip panels that sport the FB monogram molded into the left grip and the VIS monogram molded into the right grip panel. This specimen was poorly finished to begin with, as Mr. Whitt points out; note the rough mill marks throughout. Surface detractions are moderate but extensive, with light superficial pitting covering an estimated 40 percent of the surfaces. We rate this Radom as Fair, possibly Good, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Apart from its missing parts – and Numrich was out of those parts when we last checked – it appears mechanically sound. Bore has superficial etchiness throughout, but strong rifling. Hammer, trigger, and safety engage properly; we are concerned about the firing pin spring and possibly the pin itself. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
