Here is a standard piece of equipment that comes with every Smith & Wesson Handgun. Pursuant to the Youth Handgun Safety Act of 2004, all of us Federally Licensed Dealers are required to furnish a lock any time we transfer a handgun across our counters. We are required by Federal Law to offer gun locks for sale in our store, this is far and away our best seller. In 2007, Smith & Wesson handguns began showing up in our shipments with these current production red cable locks, that are made in the World’s most populous nation and imported by Regal Industrial Sales. These are California Compliant Regal brand Red Locks; and they’re good locks, certified as such by the technicians at the California Department of Justice. Manufacturer is a firm in Shanghai, China; importer is Regal Industrial Sales of Massachusetts. Construction is all laminated steel body, with polymer coated coiled steel cable shank and polymer lining on the body of the lock proper. Each lock includes two numbered steel keys that will not interchange with other padlocks.
