Description: From its original home domicile here in West Tennessee comes this pristine looking Marlin model 100 Single Shot. Manufacturer was The Marlin Firearms Co. – New Haven, Conn. USA – Est 1870, and so marked. Production on this rifle ran from 1936 until 1941, and then from 1946 until 1960 in this configuration. This rifle, then, could not have been manufactured after 1960. No Marlin Single Shot Promotional model in this rifle's class was ever serialized. Construction is entirely steel metal, and entirely American Walnut Stock, except for the factory butt plate. Barrel is 22 inch medium tapered, .600 outside diameter at the muzzle, .710 at the forend tip, and .744 osd at the receiver junction. Bore is 1:16 twelve groove right hand Micro-Groove, and so marked. Sights are dovetailed steel brass beaded blade front, and dovetailed long steel rear that is step elevator adjustable for elevation. The rifle disassembles at the single take down screw. Mechanism is manually engaged pull knob cocker; the rifle does Not cock upon loading. Trigger is .200 serrated face, pulls at an extremely light 1 1/4 pounds, but will withstand a 12 inch drop without snapping. Trigger has no felt creep. It has a single side extractor. Stock has a very adult 13 1/4 inch length of pull, 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 drop, and a mild 3/4 inch right hand cast. This will not be a southpaw friendly rifle, then. Cost to mount a scope will be prohibitive. The trigger pull precludes it being a youth rifle by any stretch of sanity. Overall length is 39 1/4 inches; weight empty is 5 pounds 3 ounces, centered at the chamber. Finish is polished surface blued barrel, receivr, and trigger guard, with chrome plated bolt and trigger. Stock is semi gloss oil finish. We suspect this rifle may have been refinished, perhaps at the factory in the 1960s. Lettering is somewhat dimmed on the letter T in the word The on the barrel. Buttstock has its original recess but no filler for the rear sling swivel. Surface detractions are minimal, principally edge wear on the knob, occasional scouring on the stock, wear to the disassembly bolt, and occasional inconspicuous freckling. We rate this model 100 as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this Marlin was fired somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 rounds. We're offering it for only $ 189.00. Definitely C&R Eligible.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
