HG4821 Here is a classic Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special Lightweight that has been professionally DuPont Teflon refinished by Black Ice Coatings in Utah. The finish is more durable than stainless steel. Grips are Pachmayr CD/C Compacs, the best handling and best looking rubber grips in the industry. Weight empty on this revolver in 19 ounces; 2 inch steel one-piece barrel with blade front sight, steel upper frame, and Teflon alloy lightweight grip frame. Trigger is classic Charter serrated face .320 combat, with serrated spur hammer. Action is double- and single- action with transfer bar internal safety mechanism and floating firing pin. Cylinder capacity is 5 rounds, and we have always carried Charters with +P ammunition since the main frame is steel. This Charter dates from the 1980s from its serial number. It is, however, better than the newer ones given its extreme duty Teflon finish. This one served and protected the good citizens of St. James Parish, Louisiana during its law enforcement career, under the command of the Honorable Gordon J.
