Description: Shoppers please note that we WILL NOT accept a return on this revolver. If you are a civilian non-dealer residing in California, the District of Colombia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, or Oregon, you cannot legally buy it anyway. Most RG10 Revolvers had a cylinder pin that unscrewed, by means of its knurled and serrated rod end, to eject the empties with. Here, however, is an earlier variant that had a shrouded ejector rod. This is a traditional Single and Double Action Revolver, but it loads and unloads by means of a loading gate and the ejector rod, borrowed from the classic Colt Single Action Revolvers, so we facetiously call this an RG10 Lightning Variant. These were, of course, manufactured by Rohm Gesontheim in Germany, then imported principally by Eig Cutlery of Miami, later F.I.E. From this specimen’s 683000 range serial number, and from its 63 date code, it was manufactured in 1963. Serialization is in sequence with 700000 range specimens we received from Eig Cutlery in 1964. As of January 2, 2013, we will accept a C&R license on this revolver; and it is the first RG that we can accept C&R on. Serial numbers are matching on the frame, on the cylinder, and on the barrel. Type is double and single action revolver, cylinder capacity 6 rounds of .22 Short Standard Velocity or CB ammunition only. No owner should fire High Velocity .22 Shorts in this revolver. Construction is blue steel barrel, cylinder, hammer, trigger, and internal parts with pot metal muzzle shroud, sight rib, frame, and trigger guard. Barrel measures 2 7/8 inches. Grips are original factory RG white plastic with their thin brass logos. Weight empty is 13 1/2 ounces with the center of gravity at the trigger itself. Surface detractions are moderate. A small series of rust spots has been sanded on the left side of the barrel. Cylinder surfaces and hammer sides exhibit extensive finish freckling that is not, however, readily conspicuous. We rate this RG10 as Good, perhaps Very Good, 70 to 75 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is mechanically as good as it every was; bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and excellent, and this little RG times correctly in all six positions on both single and double action. We are not advertising it, however, for a shooter. We are selling it for its intrinsic historical value as a cheap revolver from the 1960s, and we will not accept a return on it. Anyone shopping for a good cheap gun should be prepared to spend at least $200; and we recommend using Guns America Search terms Taurus 82 Robertson or CZ70 Robertson. We’re offering this historic little JFK / LBJ Era cheap German revolver, for only $ 169.00. Not transferable to civilian non-dealer residents of California or the District of Colombia before January 2, 2013. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
