Description: We fondly remember our good old friend, Mr. James Hollis Glover, late of Baldwyn, Mississippi. James Hollis traded with us from shortly after we opened in the 1950s until his untimely death a decade ago. More than any other American, James Hollis was responsible for a massive wave of Pakistani-made pocket knives that fairly saturated the Southern and Midwestern markets during the early 1990s. He even sent his supplier plant managers by to visit us when they were in country. Mr. Glover’s knife brand was White Tail Cutlery, slick made and good looking knives with his trademark inked on the obverse of the main blade and the word Pakistan on the reverse. Laminated Micarta handle panels were as good as anybody’s, even though the steel strength left something to be desired. Here is one of Mr. Glover’s best and most popular creations, a Coke-bottle patterned Trapper made much on the order of the Case 6254 with four brass panel rivets on each side and the Deer Head, White Tail logo on the obverse panel. Bolster, blade, liner, and backspring material are all brushed stainless. Blades are, as the photos show, conventional clip main blade and extended spey or skinner secondary blade. The Clip blade measures 3 3/8 from heel to point, and the spey blade 3 1/2 inches. This knife is mint, and those measurements are factory original. Backspring strength is excellent, and fit and finish is better than other Pakistani knives from the period. The present flood of Chinese made knives, of course, spelled the death knell not only for White Tail Cutlery and Pakistani producers, but also for almost all U.S. Made modestly priced cutlery. That flood is so extensive that resale on China made knives is nil. We will not even pay $1.00 apiece for any of them. We’re offering this fine Pakistani Mississippian specimen, however, for only $ 21.95. We do not sell knives to civilians under 21 years of age. Most knives with blades over 3 inches are illegal to carry on Federal Property. All knives are illegal to transport on airlines. No shipments of knives with blades over 3 inches to civilians in New York unless we have a copy of your current New York hunting license. No knife shipments to civilians in Chicago or New York City. Knoxville Tennessee residents must furnish Weapons Carry Permit for fixed blade hunting knives or copy of Police Commission Identification. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $3.50 for first knife lower 48, but maximum $5.00 flat rate shipping no matter how many a person buys. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
