HG5564 The Ruger SP-101, more than the Taurus 85, deserves credit for initiating the small frame revolver muscle contest of the late 1990s where their chief competitor, Smith & Wesson, came along with a bit of kicking and screaming first to .38 Plus P status on their J frames, and then to full house .357 Magnum. This is one of the First Year of Production SP-101s from 1989, chambered in .38 Special for +P Loads. It is five shot capacity, handles any .38 special load. Weight is only 28 ounces empty; traditional double and single action; transfer bar safety device, and original SP-101 grips with serrated side panels. This is a local civilian revolver, probably bought new from us 21 years ago. Surface detractions are minimal, with faint small buffed areas on the matte barrel rib and faint rotation marking on the five shot cylinder. We rate it as Excellent, since no more than 5 percent of its surfaces are affected; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is minimal, only a faint etchy line with no depth that traverses about half the width of the top strap. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels an additional 10 degrees after the cylinder times into place on double action in all five positions. On single action, the hammer travels fully 25 degrees after the cylinder times on all five, and the single action trigger pull is a crisp 4 1/4 pounds with negligible felt creep. Hammer and trigger are stainless .265 service width, smooth faced combat trigger and serrated spur hammer. The 3 3/8 inch barrel length has always been the best handling, best shooting 5 shot .38 on the market, although not the most popular. Factory order number is KSP-831X. This one is eminently serviceable, attractive, and even collectable. We’re offering this fine First-Year Ruger SP-101 for only $ 389.95.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
