Here is the refined descendant of the Smith & Wesson model 34 Kit Gun. There never was, however, a lightweight or airweight kit gun until the Air Lite Smith & Wessons came into existence some 10 years ago. This is the Taurus model 94 .22 LR 9 Shot Revolver, 2 inch Barrel, Ultra Lite Stainless. Weight empty is 18 ounces; sights are traditional Red Ramp Front / White Outline Rear, fully adjustable for windage and elevation. This is a single and double action revolver. It has both an internal transfer bar safety and the Taurus patented internal hammer lock that is the least obtrusive of all revolvers’ internal locks. Finish is an excellent satin nickel aluminum alloy with stainless steel Barrel and Cylinder Assembly. Hammer and trigger are traditional satin stainless, and the grip is a very comfortable Taurus factory rubber combat grip with finger grooves and palmswells. The .22 LR is generally not taken seriously. Sure, this is a fine revolver to practice with when a person carries a .38 or .357 Snub; it is, however, quite formidable in its own right, loaded with hyper velocity LRs like our CCI Stingers or Federal Game-Shok HV rounds. Even the normal High Velocity .22 LRs are much more powerful and effective, both for hunting and for defense, than people give them credit for.
