Construction is matte blue steel with classic semi-gloss ebony colored buttstock and forend, same texture that the 098 Topper Deluxe shotguns always had. One principal and very important difference is the one-inch hard rubber smooth recoil pad on the end of a 40 inch, 6 pound shotgun that carries the most powerful ammunition in the world for shotguns, the 3 1/2 inch Magnum Lead, Steel, or Hevi-Shot. A person who uses steel, of course, will need to replace the Extra Full Turkey Choke Tube that measures .680 at its muzzle end. Barrel is 24 inches, and will chamber any 12 gauge shell, from the 1 7/8 inch Aguilas all the way to 3 1/2 inch magnums.
