HG5426 This pistol is not C&R Eligible. From its career with the Israeli civilian Police, the Mishteret Y’Israel, comes this FN Belgian Made Hi-Power, model of 1935, also known as the P-35. This is the Mark II Variant, with ambidextrous safety. It is distinctive because of its military lanyard ring on the left side of the grip frame. Caliber is THE 9mm, 9mm Luger, 9x19, 9mm Parabellum, call it what you will. Construction is entirely steel, 118 mm or 4 5/8 inch barrel, right-hand-twist 6 groove; magazine safety and firing pin safety; weight empty 32 oz / 900 g; fixed combat sights; single action only with lever safety; .265 smooth face combat trigger and matching serrated spur hammer; redesigned factory black composite checkered grip panels. Date code is PV, manufactured 1985. Barrel and slide are factory but replacement, early 1990s by our estimate, as part of routine maintenance. This specimen has extensive service wear and scouring on its surfaces, but lettering is sharp throughout. Note the photos showing wear on the rear sight edges. Slide is marked Fabrique Nationale Herstal Belgique / Browning’s Patent Depose, with PW Arms import marking beneath on the left side of the frame as required by US Law. We rate this Belgian-Israeli Hi-Power as Good finish wise, but photos ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Magazine is military issue 13 round.
