SS# 3536 From a mid-west estate sale a very nice WWII German Luger dated 1917/1920 with ERFURT on the slide 9mm cal. All visible numbers matching except the magazine which is unnumbered. The wood grips are in good condition (there are some green spots on the grips that is residue ferom the leather of the holster....I have not cleaned this gun) with no cracks or chips but with normal wear (there is a thumb groove on the off grip...perhaps the owner was left handed) and appear to be original to the gun (I have not taken the grips off as I don't want to damage them therefor I don't know if the grips are numbered). The metal finish is good for a gun that is nearly 100 years old with some blue loss (see photos). I am not a collector or an expert and know very little about Lugers therefore I took photos of every mark or stamp I could find on the outside of the gun but don't know how to take it apart. At the sale the only other information about the gun was that it was brought back from WWII and had been in the family for a long time. This pistol has a great bore and is in excellent working condition. Since I can't take the gun apart to see if every thing matches the only thing I can do is guarantee it...if it fails to live up to your expectations in any way return it for a full and speedy refund including your return shipping (see my feedback). The brown leather holster is not the typical hard shell style but it is obvious that it is a purpose made Luger holster and that the gun has been in it a long time. The leather is not brittle but there is some age wear. The propaganda photo of Hitler is original (not a reprint) and has a description, in German, on the back. There is a original war time photo of a group of German soldiers as well as a war time stamp and a pin (don't know what the pin is for) on the holster. The only fault I can find with this gun is the normal wear on the wood grips and the finish has lost some blue(see photos). We trade guns. Satisfaction guaranteed.
