From its BNN serial number prefix, this Smith & Wesson Model 65-4 was manufactured in late 1991. It is in Very Good Condition by our estimate. Cylinder has about 5-10 percent light pecky scouring at places. The main detraction is that the knurled area of the ejector rod end has been flattened. Forward side plate screw shows mild stress, and there is extensive light pecking on the side plate and trigger guard. These are the exposed areas, of course, during duty carry. Note the pecky scuffing on the small area beside the rear sight. Apart from the detractions we have pointed out, this revolver's surface has much to commend it. Sight, barrel exterior, and matte area on top of the revolver are all well preserved. The Satin Stainless hammer and trigger are all very clean and detraction free. Grips, not that much of a factory in most buyers' consideration, have moderate to heavy wear mostly on the exposed right side.
Mechanically, this revolver is Very Good in our estimation. Blast effect to the underside of the frame topstrap directly above the forcing cone is moderate, about .001 or so, and does not traverse the entire width of the topstrap. Rifling is full strength in the bore, but there appears to be slight amounts of metal fouling remaining. Cylinder chambers are clean and excellent. Lateral wobble to the cylinder is moderate, both with the trigger pulled and trigger relaxed. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is .008, more than average. In double action, the hammer travels 15 degrees or so after the cylinder times into place, with 20 degree or more travel in single action. Double action pull is smooth and consistent; and the single action pull is crisp, around 4 pounds. This is a good, solid, serviceable mode 65-4. Own it for only $ 279.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
