Here are representatives of the Mec-Gar 13 round magazine, manufactured for the Sig-Sauer Compact P-228 and P-229 pistols chambered in 9mm caliber. These are Factory Sig Magazines; Mec-Gar is Sig’s primary contractor. Mec-Gar quality control is always up to Sig specs. Mec-Gar magazines, write the factory technicians, are constructed from certified carbon steel and feature a heat treated housing and a hi-impact polymer or certified carbon steel follower and floorplate. Magazines in the photos were issued to the Swiss State Police in the previous decade, around 2004, since some of them are LE / Law Enforcement marked and some are not.
