Here is Century Arms's current AK type rifle, the WASR-10/63, manufactured in Romania. This variant has the fixed laminated buttstock that measures 12 3/4 inches on the pull, from trigger to the end of the buttstock, youth length by US Standards. Barrel is 16 1/4 inches. The 10/63, this one, comes with Bayonet Lug and a Romanian Military Bayonet with its scabbard. Caliber, of course, is 7.62 x 39, and the rifle comes with a total of four 30 round Romanian Government Issue magazines. Weight is a manageable 7 1/2 pounds empty, and the gas operated system makes this one of the most pleasant shooting rifles in the world. Sights, of course, are standard military elevation adjustable up to 600 meters, and the front sight is hooded post style. Trigger is two stage, and the rifle has the conventional Kalashnikov receiver side safety that doubles as a dust cover. These are new, unfired, never-issued semi-auto rifles. Specimen in the photo shows a WASR-10/63 that we had in stock at press time, Spring 2009. Please note, however, that the current batch in stock does not have the cleaning rod.
