Mossberg’s original 800 series rifles earned our respect in the 1970s. Savaged upstaged them for a few years with their 110 series, but now Mossberg is back and better than ever. Here is what we call a Texas Mossberg, the model 100ATR bolt action with tough solid ADL synthetic stock, Weaver 51S and 36 Scope Mount Bases, and 22 inch barrel, chambered for the effective and plentiful .30-06 Springfield cartridge. We began stocking a few of these after hearing positive reviews from very serious and dedicated hunters from neighboring McNairy and Hardeman Counties here in West Tennessee. The Mossbergs have taken over as the best value in a quality high powered rifle on the market, beating even the 770 Remingtons. This one comes with fluted 22 inch barrel, 4 + 1 internal magazine capacity; crisp LBA, Lightning Bolt Action adjustable trigger; thumb safety; matte blue metal set in a factory Black Synthetic all purpose stock. Weight is 7 1/4 pounds empty, well balanced with the center of gravity underneath the front of the chamber. This Mossberg 100 ATR, all terrain rifle, like its Remington and Savage competitors, is still U.S. Made. This particular specimen spent less than 3 months with its only owner, who intended to hit the deer woods with it until the recent national elections. He traded it in on a Ruger Mini 14. Surface detractions are minimal, no more than ordinary shelf wear that new rifles get being handled in retail stores like ours. All we detect are some tiny scuff marks on the stock, with operation buffing to the bolt surface. We rate it as Excellent, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. This rifle has been fired fewer than 20 times. Replacement pricing on this rifle is over $300 in our area. We’re offering the Texas 100ATR Mossberg in the photos, however, for only $ 249.00.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground or USPS Priority with full insurance coverage. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
