This item has a 10” ball & shot barrel, engraved hardware and wood stock. Inspection with a bore scope shows light rust with light to moderate pitting visible, The last 1/2” of the muzzle end of the barrel has straight rifling cut in it. The bore behind the rifling measures .545 and the grooves at the muzzle measure .570. The engraving is ornate and very well done for that period of history, “Andreas Kuchnereu LER” is done is a Silver inlay. The stocks shows some dings and scratches in the wood as would be expected from an arm of this age, There are 3 cracks in the wood on the right side in the front wedge area. The rear retaining wedge is missing. The full cock notch is functional but the half cock notch is not, the trigger pull is very light. The nipple is in very good condition. Overall, This is in terrific condition for its age.
