The stock and forend appear to be walnut, but we are not absolutely certain about that. Word is that there will be no more Rossi Rifles in any kind of wood – Walnut, Goncalo, or even Brazilian Hardwood. Factory specs are as follows: Taurus catalog number R223MB; break-open single shot action; single stage trigger; transfer bar and manual lever safeties with Taurus lock system; 23 inch 1:9 barrel; overall length 38 ½ inches; weight empty 6 ¼ pounds; Brazilian Walnut stock.
