Very fine rifle with a name on the lockplate, J.COOPER, has a 39 3/4" long .69 cal. barrel with a square front sight for a bayonet. This looks like some of the Mass Militia rifles made for an officer with hand checkering on the grip area, and brass furniture, and very fine walnut wood. Has two British proofs on the barrel. condition overall is very good with brown patina, and scattered fine pitting around the the touch hole. Has an iron trumpet shaped military ramrod. Repair to forend wood about 9" long, but is blended very well. Can't see it unless you try reasl hard, won't photograph. Please send your eamil when communicating!

I am an estate dealer, and buy whole contents of homes, mostly gun smith's estates. Been doing this for 40 years. Never know what I'll find next.We look for the unusual, we don't buy new guns from wholesalers, and resell! !KEEP CHECKING MY INVENTORY. We don't do feedback this isn't EBAY! Thank you.
