Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: NO FFL Required. This is a beautiful Marlin Ballard No. 6 1/2 Rigby Single Shot Target Rifle for sale chambered in .40-90 caliber. The barrel length is 26 inches long and this has not been drilled or tapped. The bore is in very good shape. Near the chamber there is some darkness and a tiny bit of pitting, but as you travel down the bore it continually gets better to mirror. The metal finish on the barrel is good, with a great deal of bluing present. On the chamber side of the barrel there is an arrow on the top surrounded by engraving. There is also a circular ring of engraving on the muzzle end. The receiver is mostly a silver color and engraved with a picture of a deer on both sides. On the left side of the receiver it reads "JM Marlin New Haven Conn SA" and under that reads "Ballards Patent Nov 5th, 1861". There is a rear flip-up peep sight mounted on the top of the tang. The stock is in great condition structurally with some normal wear and tear. There is a small crack from the top tang and goes towards the butt stock and is about 1 inch long. The butt plate is Swiss and nickeled brass. There is one box of original unopened Remington UMC .40-90 Ballard ammo included.
