The serial number range 418XXX indicates a 1946 manufacture date. It has a 24" medium taper barrel with raised ramp front sight and semi-buckhorn rear. It has a near mint mirror bright bore. The wood is checkered walnut. Pistol grip butt with steel shotgun style buttplate. Schnoble forend. Sling swivels and leather sling. Receiver has NOT been drilled and tapped for scope. The wood has some marks but no cracks and overall nice finish. The bluing on barrel and receiver is very nice at 98%+ with no wear at bottom of receiver. It has some of the nicest case colors on the lever that I have seen.
