Serial #201xxx (1918 Vintage). Gun letters as a 26" CE. The gun went back to Utica prior to the war and was re-chambered to 2&3/4" and is so marked. According to the owners, the gun was totally refurbished by Savage at that time, barrels cut back to 25" (still has over 3" of full & full choke in it) fitted with a thin Silver pad and returned to the lady it was custom refitted for. This is old work and we are attempting to find a work order or an updated letter to substantiate the dimensions on this gun. Bores are Excellent. Receiver retains 75-80% Case Colors, Barrels are 98% and Wood is Solid and Beautiful. LOP 14&1/4" over Front Trigger. A Very Hard Find and Priced Fairly per Condition. A Must Own Gun.
