Description: HG1918 Here is the best house gun a person can own. It is simple to operate, heavy enough to minimize felt recoil, and most important, one of the easiest handguns to hit the target with that there ever has been. This is a worthy specimen of the Smith & Wesson .38 Special Military & Police Stainless, numbered model 64, First Engineering change. From its D750000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1975. This revolver has served and protected our fellow Americans for almost three decades, and it has plenty of serviceability left. Bore, chamber and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the underside of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is negligible, only a faint streak not distinguishable from the mill marks on that surface. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels an additional 5 to 10 degrees after the cylinder times in all six positions in double action. On single action, the hammer travels 20 degrees after the cylinder times on all six, and the single action trigger pull is a crisp original 4 3/4 pounds. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal with the trigger relaxed, and negligible with the trigger fully depressed. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap measures a perfect .007, and that is further proof that this revolver has had few if any +P rounds fired through it. Surface detractions are moderate, with extensive scouring around the edges and some evidence of polishing to the surfaces. Note that the replacement nickel hammer has extensive brown toning and finish loss. We rate it as Good, perhaps Very Good, polished, finishwise, 70 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Construction is entirely Stainless steel, with classic Satin Stainless .265 Serrated face service trigger and factory Nickel hammer. Barrel is 4 inch heavy barrel with matte finished rib, integral serrated ramp front sight and fixed notch rear sight. Frame is Square Butt type, and with late 1980s Hogue Combat replacement grips. Weight empty is 34.2 ounces, with the center of gravity directly above the trigger. We’re offering this simple, serviceable model 64 for only $ 319.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Colombia, Massachusetts, or New York City. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
