SKS rifles manufactured at the Jianshe Factory which are devoid of all arsenal markings are believed to be the first SKS rifles manufactured in China starting in 1956. The inspection and code stamps on these SKS’s are identical or resemble markings found on Russian SKS rifles. It is believed these early 1956 rifles were assembled to some degree from Russian parts left over from Russian SKS production.
This SKS in caliber 7.62x39 is a rifle from this early production period. There are no Jianshe Factory Arsenal stamps on this SKS only the serial number. Rifle has matching stamped serial numbers on: receiver, bolt carrier, bolt, trigger housing, magazine and receiver cover. This is an exceptional example of an early production Chinese SKS. The rifle maintains most of its original blue(97+%). Bore is chrome lined and in like new condition. While the stock number is not matching to the rifle the wood is in excellent shape. Rifle would make a good shooter or an addition to any collection as early production rifles in this condition are difficult to find. SKS can be purchased on a Curio and Relic ffl.
