First introduced in 1975, CZ led the way with its CZ75 as the premiere Wonder Nine. Czech engineers took John M. Browning’s 1935 Hi-Power design, strengthened it, and developed a smooth and accurate masterpiece in double action. The CZ model P07 is a double and single action and with an interchangeable safety system. Issue configuration is set with an ambidextrous decocker for safely discontinuing a firing session. The decocker levers are not safety levers, but they fulfill the principal function of a safety lever, that is lowering the hammer without using the trigger to do so. If owners so choose, they can readily convert the P07 to the CZ75 85 configuration with an ambidextrous lever safety so that the pistol will carry cocked and locked for single action firing from the get-go. Photos show both sets of levers, and both are included. Unlike its CZ75 ancestor, this P07 variant does have a firing pin safety. The .313 wide serrated commander style hammer has a half cock position for ready-to-fire double action carry. Slide is serrated rear for easy operation. Barrel measures 3.74 inches with double cam slide lock. Smooth face .315 combat trigger yields a smooth, consistent double action trigger pull of 7/8 inch distance; 5 pound vicinity single action trigger travel measures about 1/3 inch with minimal felt creep. Sights are slotted dot front with dovetailed, U white outline configuration rear fixed sight. Construction is steel barrel, slide, and internal parts housed in a metal reinforced polymer grip frame. Grips frame has stippled lateral block surfaces with the CZ Logo, and contoured upper frame area with serrated front and back strap areas. Ease of disassembly and reassembly exceeds all other pistols on the market even today, with hash marks on the disassembly position for easy removal of the slide stop / barrel link pin; disassembly yields grip frame, barrel, guide rod and spring. Weight empty is 27 ounces. Magazines are both matte blue finish 16 rounders, shorter than the standard CZ75’s. A CZ75 magazine will work in this P07 with some protrusion at the butt; but the P07 Magazine is a tad too short to go into a CZ75. The P07 will digest any ammunition, from lead bullet reloads to steel case Russian to the finest Federal Hydra-Shok sharp-nosed hollowpoints. That is something one cannot say about competitors Glock and HK, to name a couple. Another strong suite is the P07’s slide mates precisely to the frames, with fully 2.4 inches of steel to steel contact on both sides of the slide. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
