This fine rilfe is an excellent reincarnation of the fabled Winchester 1892 Trapper, a Puma Lever Action chambered in .44 Magnum Caliber, manufactured in Brazil by Rossi and imported by Howa's Legacy Sports wing. Its only departure from the classic 1892 design is a hammer block safety, mounted unobtrusively on top of the bolt just forward of the hammer. Metal is entirely blue steel. Forend and buttstock appear to be Brazilian Walnut. Buttplate is blue steel as well. Weight is a pleasantly balanced 6 pounds empty. Barrel is 20 inches long, and capacity is 11 rounds of .44 Magnum ammo. Weight empty is only 6 1/2 pounds, and overall length is a compact 38 inches. Buyer will receive the Rifle in the photo or one of its identical mates. Replacement price on these is upwards of $600 in our area.
