Kimber has discontinued .22 rimfire rifles as of 2007. This HS is unique in that it sits in a highly figured stock. Most of the HS models were in plain Jane stocks with no figure or deep rich coloration. It is Half fluted as seen in the photos and utilizes controlled round feed. Mouser type extractor claw, wing safety, firing pin is dead center the bolt. 11 degree target crown. Highly accurate. At the time these were manufactured, they were considered one of the very best rimfire rifles one could buy or own. They could not leave Kimbers door without being able to shoot 4/10 inch or under groups. ( .40 ). This one comes with box and all paperwork, and test target. The test target for this gun measured, .380 at 50 yards shot by a guy named Nelis, using Remington Match Extra plus. Ammo. This is my gun. I have owned it since new but used it very little and treated it like a fine wine glass. The metal work is absolutely 100% perfect. There is a small ding in the stock which I could not get in the photos. It was there when I purchased the gun new. Due to the rarity and extreme beauty of this Kimber HS stock, I overlooked the small ding and bought the gun without asking many questions because I knew that finding a Kimber HS with this kind of wood was like looking for a needle in a haystack. The trigger is set to about 1 pound. It IS adjustable. Buy it and you can put there trigger any way you like. The gun comes with the bases and I am throwing in a very nice set of Leupold 30mm rings. They cost me about 55.00 at the local gun shop. This gun is also pillar bedded as a standard from Kimber. You won't need to do anything to it except put a scope on it. And I promise you, it will deliver the goods. It is very VERY accurate. Usage after all these years: Less than one brick of Lapua Center X. It has never had any jacketed copper nosed bullets down the barrel. Gun is not even broken in. I'm selling it because I never use it. It sits in the safe with a sleeve around it. It's too pretty for me. And it's a waste if it just sits there. I'm 100% on ebay if that matters and you will get exactly what you pay for in a timely fashion. This is an absolutely gorgeous gun that will make any owner proud.
