COLT MODEL 1911A1 ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER COMMEMORATIVE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL with Display Case
This is a non reserve auction for a beautiful COLT MODEL 1911A1 ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER 45 ACP caliber COMMEMORATIVE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. This pistol has a bright chrome finish with the configuration marked on left side of slide having the names of battles of WWII in Pacific Theater. The Colt Company’s name & address and a rampant Colt are on left front of frame. Right side of slide is inscribed "WORLD WAR II COMMEMORATIVE / PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS". The pistol has smooth rosewood grips with gold medallions & accompanied by an original satin chrome magazine. The original light colored wood display case with faux bamboo top & glass interior in the lid with green velvet lining in bottom is included. This case is fitted for the pistol, a silver rectangular plaque & seven chrome plated dummy cartridges. The condition is AS- New and unfired, pistol where the pistol retains virtually all of its original factory finish. Case has a minor ding & a few scratches on front, otherwise is equally fine. It is sometimes rumored that these commemoratives lacked the cosmetic flaws that often plagued the plain commercial models. The Serial Number is 2038PTO manufactured in 1970. Every auction item is for sale online & locally. We will make every effort to pull an item after it receives a qualifying bid, i.e., bids not meeting reserve do not count.
Shipping Information: Handguns and Long guns are shipped USPS. All items are packaged with great care with no additional handling charges.
We offer a 3 day inspection on all firearms. Purchases must be returned in same condition as shipped, with no disassembly and be unfired. All shipping costs are at the expense of the buyer/bidder. Please check your local, county and state laws before bidding.
Payment options: We prefer payment made using USPS Money Orders. Payment using Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks result in fastest shipments. Personal and business checks are gladly accepted, however may delay shipping 2 weeks for bank clearance (We know the good checks clear faster, however, bank are sometimes slow in notification of a returned check).
