From its brief career with the distinguished officers of the Beverly, Massachusetts Police Department comes this well preserved specimen of Sig’s Flagship Mid Sized Duty and Carry Pistol, the P229. Many of the US Assembled Sigs like this one were never date coded, but from its AK 20000 range serial number, it was issued in 2002, under Chief John Cassola. It is a descendant of the definitive P226, the P-229R in Black Stainless. The alloy frame is made by Sig Sauer in Germany, and all the parts assembled and manufactured at Sig Sauer here in the US at Exeter, NH. Slide and parts are non-glare Black Stainless. Barrel is 3.9 inches 6 groove 1:10 rifling; weight empty is 32.5 oz; refilled 3 white dot sights; overall length 7.10 inches; height 5.1 inches; maximum width 1.5 inches; 5.7 inch sight radius; 10 pound double action trigger pull; and Sig's classic crisp single action pull at 4.4 pounds. Capacity is 12+1 rounds, and this pistol is furnished with a total of two 12 round Sig factory magazines, made by Mec-Gar for Sig with LE Stamping. Grips are either original polymer or replacement Hogue, as the photos show. Surface detractions on this pistol are minimal to moderate, only faint amounts of edge wear. We rate it as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Lateral play to the slide to frame fit is minimal, but lateral play is not an issue if you know your Sigs. Replacement price on this pistol in our area, if a person can even find one, is upwards of $900.00. We're offering this Sig E229-40-B1 in the photos for only $ 539.00. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 12 round magazines are restricted to law enforcement, $30 off but no magazines. Affected jurisdictions include California, District of Colombia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, And New York.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
