This listing is for One genuine Tyler T Grip Adapter; buyers, however, may take any number of extras we have on hand at the same per-grip price, and with no additional shipping charges. We do not ship these internationally for several reasons. All of us were floored when we heard news last year that Tyler had gone belly up; and all of us were thrilled that the company rejuvenated itself under the capable, energetic hands-on management of Mr. Brian Matthews. Here is the original, still viable ergonomic grip revolver grip adapter. This one is the most traditional of all, the Tyler #3R, to fit any Smith & Wesson Revolver with a K or L Round Butt grip frame. Magna Service grips are required, like the traditional Goncalo Alves Factory grips on our California Dept. of Corrections Model 64-2 in the photos, which is not for sale on this listing. Current production factory Smith & Wesson Dymondwood Service Magnas will work also for Tyler Ts, and we’re adding a photo of them, that we usually have listed on this same electronic venue as our stock number GR21992. If any of our shoppers are not clear on the difference between Square and Round Butt Grip frames, please see the comparative photo we have attached. These grip adapters are a welcome addition to Smith & Wesson Models 10, 13, 19, 64, 65, 66, and 686 revolvers. These will work fine on Square Butt variants, but they are shorter than the Tyler #3 or 3-T that is correct for Square Butt variants. Smith & Wesson began issuing all K and L Frame revolvers in round butt only in 1995. We are unclear on the grip frame thickness of current production Air Lite and Night Guard series revolvers with L Frame size. Please note that the Model 12 certainly has a different grip frame thickness, and both its grips and a Tyler will probably require fitting on that particular model. Construction is not stainless steel; but rather polished aluminum alloy with copper alloy retaining tab assembly. Tylers provide support for the shooter’s middle and ring fingers, with enough space for the pinky to rest on the grip frame front strap. They also allow access to the strain screw without removing the grips. Their purpose is a better feel, but they also allow a much smaller grip circumference than Rubber or Combat grips, and they help allay muzzle flip with magnum loads. These grip adapters, with the above listed requirements, are relatively easy to install. All a person needs to do is loosen their revolver’s grip panel just enough for the copper tabs to fit around the grip frame’s front strap, slide it into place and then retighten the grip screws. Warranty comes from the manufacturer, address is PO Box 94845, Oklahoma City 74143. This grip adapter restores the classic 1970s – 1980s appearance to any K or L Frame Round Butt Smith & Wesson Revolver, and it is certainly Period Appropriate for all Round Butt variants made before about 2002. We’re offering these excellent revolver accessory items, each for only $ 39.00.
