This listing is for One Master brand Gun Cable Lock; buyers, however, may take any number of extras at the same per-lock price and with no additional shipping charges. If you’re looking for a good quality cable lock, we or your friendly neighborhood gun shop can sell you a good one for much less than these are selling for. There is a reason we have these locks up at $19 apiece, a history behind that.
We have always dealt a fairly substantial number of what Smith & Wesson calls Demo Guns. These are pistols and revolvers that come in their original factory boxes with all their papers, but their virginity is in question because they have performed as Showgirls for venues like the Smith & Wesson Displays at our annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Most of the Master cable locks in the photos came out of Smith & Wesson M&P Series Semi-Automatic Pistols with fired brass envelopes dating to 2004 – 2006. In 2007, Smith & Wesson handguns began showing up in our shipments with the current production red cable locks, that are made in the World’s most populous nation and imported by Regal Industrial Sales. All of us offer the California Compliant Regal brand Red Locks for around $10 apiece, and they’re good locks, certified as such by the technicians at the California Department of Justice.
Any time there is any kind of change to Smith & Wesson handguns, even to their boxes and locks like these, a good many of us old grouchy men dislike it immediately. Even with Smith & Wesson Handguns manufactured as late as 2006, their collectability is enhanced with all the right stuff in the box with them. So, if anyone just wants a good California Compliant Cable Gun Lock, we have the Regal model R-15SC locks, and we will sub two of those for one of the Master Locks, that sets the Regals at $9.50 apiece. Shoppers will need to message us if they want two of the Regals, however.
On the star of the show on this listing, the showgirl locks from Smith & Wesson, manufacturer / importer is Master Lock of Milwaukee. Back of the package reads, Assembled in Mexico with UAW – produced U.S. and foreign components. Construction is all laminated steel, with polymer coated coiled steel cable shank and polymer lining on the lower body of the lock proper. Each lock includes two numbered keys that will not interchange with other padlocks. Current production Master 107 Locks are, we are told, manufactured in China. Ours do not have suffixes to their model numbers. These have never crossed the Pacific Ocean; they came in a direct route from Massachusetts to Tennessee; and they came from blue or black Smith & Wesson Boxes like the ones in the photos. Every one is sealed in its original press-sealed, white-backed factory package. Each is under a factory warranty, but if the factory ever has to replace it, you will probably get a Chinese lock. Own one of the Master Pre-2007 Locks in the photos for only $ 19.00.
