Colt Model 1860 Army Richards Conversion, 1st Type - Cal. .44 CF - 8" Bbl. - SN 191XXX -(1871) - Ca. 1873-1878 - early Richards conversion on a percussion frame. Near perfect bore and chambers with a perfect crisp action and excellent timing and lock-up - all matching numbers (except wedge) - metal is excellent with no rust or pits, a very good cylinder scene, and retains 10% to 30% blue in protected areas - balance has drifted to a thinning blue/brown patina - dark mottled case colors on frame - front sight has been lightly filed. Walnut grips are undamaged and excellent with very little wear and retain most of the original finish. Only about 9000 of these conversions were made between 1873-1878 - this is very sharp example of a scarce Richards in better than fine condition, all original, except as noted, and will make a great collectible. *Additional Pictures Available*
