90% original blue, varnish and condition. Excellent bore and tight and smooth action. Crisp and light trigger pull. Made in Germany before WWII, by Friedrich Langenhan of Zella Mehlis Germany. He is know as a "Premier" gunmaker of that area of Germany. His "FLZ" trade mark appears on the falling block. Crown B and Crown U proofs date it to the 1920's or early 1930's. ---------------------------- The rifle comes with a Lyman receiver sight base (no upper portion). It also has Solid steel 1" scope mounting bases and rings that work well on the factory dovetail mounting grooves. It has the original removable insert type front sight. The original rear tang sight (called a Zwiefach-Stiegdiopter) is missing, they are available new repro or original from the various German shooting clubs (I can give you the name and contact data). The walnut checkered stock is solid, no cracks or splits. ------------------------ The blue and hand engraving is nice, no serious rust or pitting. This will make up into a nice Schuetzen style rifle or use as is for a great vintage squirrel rifle. The gun forums report that these shoot into 1" at 100 yds. ----------------------------------C&R license is fine in most states.
