Winchester Model 1903 - Cal. 22 Automatic - 20" Bbl.- 10-shot magazine - SN 54XX(1903). This 1st year production 1903 is one of only a few made without the "trigger lock" safety as it was anticipated these would be used as "Gallery" guns and was considered a "carbine". This one has a perfect bore and mechanics - retains 95% blue overall with some thinning on the receiver sides and bottom - buttplate has about 80% blue - metal is excellent with no rust or pits and sharp markings. Wood is excellent - sound and solid with about 90% original finish and shows a ding on the upper butt near tang and some light surface scuffs and scratches from normal use. A very sharp and uncommon first year production "pre-safety" 1903 in super condition - a nice and rare addition to an early Winchester collection *additional Pictures Available*
