The Mother of all Gun Control laws was not the Brady Act, or the Senior Bush's capricious import ban, or even anything lurking in the wings of the Present Congress. It was, of course, the Gun Control Act of 1968. That act axed importation of some of the best firearms made, including the Baby Browning .25, manufactured by FN in Belgium. As inventories depleted, ours included, of the little Brownings, demand increased to the point that a company formulated in Fraser, Michigan, under the name of Bauer Firearms Corporation and began production in 1972 of a stainless clone of the Baby Browning, the Bauer 25 SSP, SS for Stainless Steel, and P for imitation pearl grips. Construction is entirely stainless steel. Type was striker fired blowback semi-automatic, John M. Browning design, with left side lever safety that also acts as a disassembly position stop. Sight system, like the original Browning, was raised serrated rib with notch rear and low blade ramp type front. Barrel is 2 inches. Weight empty is only 9 3/4 ounces, quite a feat for a steel frame pistol. This specimen come to us from an Ohio Collection. From its 046000 range serial number, and from similarly numbered Bauers we sold new during those years, it was manufactured in 1974. Our first Bauers in 1973, bought in February and manufactured in January, were 017000 range. We estimate, then, that this is a Third Year Production piece. It is in its original box with factory one year warranty card and parts list, and factory holster flyer with very attractively priced holsters given 42 years of inflation. It has its factory zipper pouch as well. Surface detractions are minimal, principally edge buffing. The rough appearing mill marks on the frame’s verticals are original. We rate this 25SSP as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Bore, chamber and mechanism are bright and clean. We're offering this classic Bauer .25 for only $ 389.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, the District of Colombia, Maryland, or Massachusetts.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
