Up until about the year 2000, All GP100 revolvers shipped with their distinctive Rubber grips that had walnut inlaid panels. At roughly the same time, by our poor memory, Pachmayr Gun Works began putting their trademark Lion Logo Medallions into their grips, and introduced the Gripper series with Combat type finger grooves. Absent any available new replacement, original factory Ruger grips with walnut panels, owners of collectable GP100 Revolvers manufactured in the 1980s and 1990s will be well served with a set of these Pachmayrs. For that matter, any owner of a Ruger GP100 or Super Redhawk revolver will be well served with these ergonomic, attractive grips. Manufacturer is Pachmayr Inc., of Middletown, CT, formerly produced by Pachmayr Gun Works in Los Angeles. Construction is gloss finish pliable rubberized synthetic, with checkered panel surfaces and the aforementioned logo medallions. Distributor and warrantor is Lyman Products. These grips will fit any Ruger GP-100 or Super Redhawk revolver, regardless of caliber. They will Not fit a Ruger SP-101, will Not fit a Ruger Security Six, will Not fit a Ruger Blackhawk, will Not fit a standard Ruger Redhawk with a full steel grip frame, will Not fit the operating chain of a 19th Century Italian Bidet. They will only fit Ruger models GP100 and Super Redhawk with the stem type grip frame introduced in 1986. These are attractive grips, comfortable, and recoil absorbing.
