Description: We received this shotgun’s mates, 3000 range serial numbers, from Mr. Saul Eig at Eig Cutlery in Miami, in March of 1969 on a closeout. Most likely they were produced in 1967 or 1968 by an as-yet unidentified Japanese manufacturer. Like the present China made shotguns, US Walnut on Japanese blue steel. The steel is excellent; the fitting is not. Note the spoxy base repair to the right of the tang. One of the base parts was milled too wide and stressed the walnut at the tang, and the wood was not fitted correctly to begin with. This is, of course, a close copy of the classic Winchester Model 37 single shot. Caliber is .410 gauge, 2 1/2 and 3 inch chamber capability, distinctive tang mounted hammer and stamped-steel ejector. Forend is a distinctive Schnabel configuration. Barrel is 28 inch, properly 27 1/4, with .405 modified choke. Length of pull from the stamped steel trigger to the end of the buttstock is an adult 13 5/8 inches. Surface detractions are moderate, even counting the stock repair. We rate this MSC 37 copy as Very Good. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Mechanically, it is as good as it ever was. The historical importance of this shotgun is that it was one of the last Japanese cheap guns. By 1971, Miroku had taken over production for Browning, and their tolerances were vastly superior to the old FN Company’s. Eig Cutlery, of course, was the direct ancestor to F.I.E. Corporation, now European American Armory / E.A.A. We’re offering this attractive and distinctive relic of 1960s transitional Japanese engineering for only $ 139.95.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
