If you are looking to compliment your collection of discontinued firearms, this is a nice little gun to have. This gun was introduced in 1926 and discontinued in 1940. This particular gun was manufactured, per Remington Firearms, in 1931. There were 22,800 manufactured. This gun was also built specifically to test new loads for Remington, thus it was built without sites. Remington also gave these guns specific numbers beyond their s/n's. This one is stamped 1980 on the trigger guard and that number is stamped on a plate attached to the stock. It has a standard stock with metal butt plate. Total weight is 7.5 lbs. Barrel is 22" long and has a 13 5/8 LOP. Receiver is 90%, BBL is 85%. Wood is 80%. Stock has a worn bare spot where strap mounts rubbed. Strap mounts have been removed. Normal wear, no deep gouges.
