Most all Charter Revolvers are copies of the Smith & Wesson Chief's Special, and a good copy; hence our inclusion of them under this category in Guns America. This one is not C&R Eligible, though. One item that renders Charter Arms a good value in our book is their performance for us over the past 40 years, few problems, less than a 3% return ratio. Another plus is their relative lightness versus a steel frame Smith & Wesson; the entire grip frame has always been lightweight alloy on Charters, but the crucial pressure-bearing area of the frame is solid American steel. This Charter Undercoverette snub in .32 H&R Magnum Caliber is the conventional 5-shot configuration with 2 inch full shroud barrel. The .32 H&R Magnum, widely under-appreciated and perilously underestimated, will exceed its heavier-bullet .38 +P competitors for penetration, the crucial consideration borne out by the widely ignored 1986 FBI report on handgun cartridge effectiveness. Grips are stock factory Sile manufacture, but the little revolver will accommodate the more concealable Uncle Mike’s Boot Grip or Hogue Bantam. Factory specs are as follows: caliber .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, and .32 H&R Magnum; Barrel length 2 inch full shroud; overall length 7 inches; weight 18 ounces empty; stainless steel frame and aluminum alloy grip frame; checkered rubber boot grips; partridge front sight and square notch rear; smooth combat trigger and spur hammer; 5 round capacity. Metal finish on Charters is the most attractive, traditional satin stainless. Photo shows a specimen of the Undercoverette that we had in stock at press time. Own one for only $ 329.00 Now transferable to civilians in all jurisdictions of the United States of America. God bless Mr. Otis McDonald!

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
