The Md. 48 is an improved version of the WWII German Mauser. These Yugoslavian manufactured Mausers were some of the best quality Mausers ever produced. The M48 Mauser was used by the Yugoslavian military as well as being shipped to Cold War world hot spots around the world. This Md. 48 rifle is in excellent condition. The rifle has all milled parts not like the Yugoslavian Md48-A Mauser that had many stamped parts. All serial numbers are stamped matching(the magazine floor plate is forced matched). Metal blue is 90+%. Stock/hand guard are in excellent condition. Bore is bright with sharp lands. Rifle has a clear/sharp Crest of Yugoslavia stamped on the top of the receiver. The Md. 48 Mauser is known for its accuracy. This rifle has been test fired and shoots to point of aim at 100 yards using both light and heavy ball military surplus ammunition. This Md. 48 would be a excellent shooter or an addition to your collection. There is a almost invisible import mark on the muzzle end of the barrel.
