Here is one of the last and finest of the Browning-Beretta joint effort, the BDA-380, begun in 1978 and ended in 1997. This one’s serial number date code is NV, 1995 manufacture. It is in mint condition in its original box with a total of two ban period ten shot magazines. It has its instruction manual. We detect no blemishes whatsoever on its surface, and we believe it may be unfired because the hammer face has no slide contact evidence whatsoever, the main magazine still has what appears to be factory oil, and the second magazine is not marked at all from insertion or ejection. The Browning BDA-380, of course, departed from the Beretta 84 series parent pistols by have a slide mounted safety-decocker while the 84’s safety-decocker is frame mounted. Another plus for the BDA-380 was its magazine safety, something we consider an advantage. The surviving descendant of these fine pistols, the Beretta 84 Cheetah, no longer comes in bright blue or with wood grip panels. We consider this pistol to be as desirable as a Beretta 84 Cheetah Nickel, whose replacement price, if a person can find one, now approaches $800 in our area.
