Inland M1 carbine .30 cal, serial number 564-xxx, Bavaria Prison Guard marked receiver. These carbines were used in postwar Germany. This carbine is in very good used working condition.
Metal parts have a dark parkerized finish with little wear, except where the bolt rides in the receiver grooves. Barrel, slide and stock are Inland, as are some other parts-see list below.
The carbine has been disassembled, examined, cleaned, lubricated, and test fired. A video of our test firing is available on our YouTube account, FernwoodArmoryTV.
•Receiver: May 1942-Sept 1943. Excellent condition, absolutely no pitting. Stamped “BAVARIA PRISON GUARD”, parallel to bolt cutout. The metal where this is marked has not been filed; there was not a designation before Bavaria Prison Guard.
